Mobile Companies Lunch new Service Called : 198 donation service

CELL PHONE companies have started a new money collection method, and this one is called “198 donation service”. Customers facing a problem with their cell phones or broadband connection call the customer care people at 198 and end up losing money without finding a solution to their problem.

The 198 service, which is commonly called customer service should be toll-free, but that is not the case. You call on this number to register your complaint and the first thing you hear is the music. After patiently bearing the music for some time, they will ask you to wait for another few minutes.

Five minutes into the call, you will hear a recorded message informing you that all lines in this route are busy and advise you to call after sometimes. For this wasted call you will be credited with Rs 5. The more you try, the more money you pay but receive no service.

However, if you are lucky, they will provide you with a complaint number, but won’t send anyone to do the repairing work. Instead, to instigate you to make more phone calls a text message will be sent to you per day asking you to tell them whether your complaint has been attended to. While the normal procedure would be, registering the complaint and calling you for details, the companies do the opposite. The procedure has always been the same, but customers have now started complaining because they are charged for the calls they make.
