ON THE tenth day of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, two matches are in the schedule. First match between two minnows of Group 'A' Zimbabwe and Canada is in progress, whereas the second match between two Group 'B' teams West Indies vs Netherlands will start from 2:30 pm.
Earlier in the morning, Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura won the toss and decided to bat first at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in orange city Nagpur against Canada in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. Zimbabwe lost their first wicket in the first ball of the game. Canadian bowler Khurram Chohan departed opener Brendan Taylor. Batting team lost their second wicket as opener Charles Coventry in the fourth over of the play.
Zimbabwean wicket keeper batsman Tatenda Taibu completed his second world cup fifty in 45 deliveries with eight boundaries. Whereas, Craig Ervine completed his maiden world cup fifty in 55 balls with four boundaries and a six.
Zimbabwe team lost their first match in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 against Australia by 91 runs whereas Canada lost their opening match to Sri Lanka in a one sided game by 210 runs.
