US soccer roster announced for FIFA World Cup 2010

2010-logo UNITED STATES soccer national team coach Bob Bradley selected 30 players for World Cup training camp, which is going to be played at South Africa from June 13, 2010. Charlie Davies, due to recovery from serious injuries in a car accident last October was left off the preliminary list of players in the United States roster. United States have to play against England in the opening match of World Cup 2010 on June 12 in a Group C match at Rustenburg.

Real Salt Lake forward Robbie Findley was able to find place in the roster of 30 probable's of the US Soccer for the FIFA World Cup tournament. Galaxy players Landon Donovan and Edison Buddle and former Galaxy player Herculez Gomez were all included on the preliminary US roster of 30 players for the 2010 World Cup. Chivas USA defender Jonathan Bornstein and midfielder Sacha Kljestan were also named in the roster.

A squad of 23 players will be chosen by June 1 for the final roster who will represent United States during the FIFA World Cup tournament in South Africa. The 30 players will begin reporting to Princeton, NJ, on May 15 for the training camp. The US will face two of the traditionally stronger teams from Europe in the Czech Republic and Turkey in the Send-Off Series before departing for South Africa.
