Olive launches first 3G tablet OlivePad VT 100 in India

OLIVE TELECOM has launched India's first 3G tablet, OlivePad VT 100 on Thursday. The multi functional device runs on Google Android Operating System and supports 3.5G (High Speed Uplink Packet Access) HSUPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. OlivePad comes with an in built 3 mega pixel front and back camera and it can also be used for browsing, multimedia, instant messaging and social networking. Apart from this the phone also can also be used as a smart phone that allows voice and video calling.

This new smart phone comes with a 7 inch touch screen with 600MHz Qualcomm M7227 chipset. It also has 512 MB ROM and 512 MB RAM which can be expanded to 32GB. It will also sport GSM support and will be available in tri-band WCDMA support. The OlivePad will also enable users to read e-books.

What makes this phone distinct is its carriage of features which is available in both tablets as well as smart phones. Unlike its competitors like Apple whose I Pad is yet to make an official entry in India, OlivePad has already made an impressive entry in the markets. The phone will be available for less than Rs 25,000 and it may hit Croma stores across the country soon.
