With players like Soderling and Berdych putting in some exceptional performances, there is always a chance for great upset.

The US Open's history boasts of elite players, who have lifted the trophy with valour, determination and smart play. Some of the players, who have made an impact are Juan Martin del Porto, Kim Clijsters, Serena Williams, Leander Paes and Venus Williams. With an equally elite list of sponsors that the US Open found in Polo Ralph Lauren, Mercedes Benz, Wilson, Grey Goose and Kraft Foods amongst several others, the US Open championship attracts a huge viewer ship across the globe.

This season, the spectators will be yet again exposed to the rivalry between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. The stakes are high on Nadal and Djokovic, since both of them are top seeded players.
