World No Tobacco Day to be observed on May 31

THE IMPORTANT causes of smoking–related mortality include heart diseases and chronic obstructive lung disease. Quitting smoking involves the combination of behavioural therapy and drugs. Combination therapy is clearly superior to counseling alone or drugs alone. Drug therapy involves giving a varenicline or combined nicotine replacement.
