IN THE 11th match of the Indian Premier League 2011 on Thursday, March 14, host Deccan Chargers will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium in Hyderabad in search of their first victory in the ongoing season of the tournament.
Deccan Chargers being lead by former Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara in the IPL 4, has lost both of its opening matches. In its first match, Chargers lost to Rajasthan Royals by eight wickets at the home ground, and in the second match against Kolkata Knight Riders, the team lost by nine runs.

Both Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers Bangalore have a number of match winners in their teams. Chargers' captain Kumar Sangakkara has cricketers such as Dale Steyn, Shikhar Dhawan, Jean-Paul Duminy, Ishant Sharma, and Amit Mishra in its stable. The Bangalore team has a combination of experienced as well as young players such as Daniel Vettori, Tillakaratne Dilshan, AB de Villiers, Zaheer Khan, Virat Kohli, and Dirk Nannes.
Beside these players, there are many quality cricketers in both the teams, who can perform both with the bat and the bowl. However, the important thing is that all the players have to take responsibilities on their shoulders.
Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers Bangalore have played eight IPL matches against each other and both the teams have won four matches each.
In IPL history, both teams have finished the tournament with one step up or down. In the IPL 2008, Bangalore and Chargers finished seventh and eighth. In IPL's second season Deccan Chargers was the winner and Royal Challengers was the runners-up. In the IPL 2010, RCB and DC were in the third and fourth place.
In tonight's match it will be interesting to see whether Deccan Chargers can break the jinx of always losing at home ground or not. Chargers have played eight IPL matches at the home ground, and hasn't won a single match.
