In the 19th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur between co-host Bangladesh and two-times World Cup champion West Indies, the Bangladeshi captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and decided to bat first.
Bangladesh made no change in their playing XI from the Ireland game. Bangladesh won that match by 27 runs. West Indies captain Darren Sammy is also playing with same team that beat Netherlands by a huge margin of 215 runs. In that match the Caribbean pacer Kemar Roach picked six Dutch wickets for 27 runs, including a hat-trick.
This group 'B' match in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2011 is very important for both West Indies and Bangladesh for their quarter finals dreams. Both teams have two points each from two matches each. The Irish team, who beat England two days back, also have two points with same matches.
West Indies and Bangladesh are meeting for the fourth time in a World Cup. The Caribbean team has won twice against this opponent. However, Bangladesh has an edge over West Indies as they are playing in front of their home crowd and in home conditions.
Here is the West Indies and Bangladesh playing XI for the 19th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium:
West Indies: Chris Gayle, Devon Smith, Darren Bravo, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Kieron Pollard, Devon Thomas (wk), Darren Sammy (capt), Sulieman Benn, Nikita Miller, Kemar Roach.
