ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 India vs South Africa, Live Score Card

TODAY, IN one of the most anticipated matches of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 between two strong contenders India and South Africa in Orange city Nagpur, Indian captain MS Dhoni won the toss decided to bat first at dry and flat surface of Vidarbha Cricket Association's Jamtha Stadium.

India, who has already qualified for the quarterfinals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, is playing with six batsmen, one all-rounder and four bowlers, including three fast bowlers. Indian captain MS Dhoni has made one change in the Indian playing XI from the last match against Netherlands. He included Munaf Patel in place of Piyush Chawla, who was not contributing as expected.

South African captain Greame Smith brought in Johan Botha in place of leggie Imran Tahir. In the last game against England Tahir suffered from a left-thumb injury. Once again Morne van Wyk is in the South African playing XI, which means AB de Villiers will not be keeping wicket.

South African batsman AB de Villiers and Indian dashing opener Virender Sehwag are among the top five run getters in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, scored 266 runs with an average of 119 runs and 254 runs with an average of 105 respectively.

India and South Africa have played 65 matches so far with each other, and the record is in favour of South Africans by 39-25. Two matches ended without result.

In the last encounter between these these two countries at Centurion on Jan 23 this year, South Africa won by 33 runs.
